                            Back in Mesopotamia Time

What do you think Mesopotamia Music would be like. How they made their Instruments, when

their music was played, and what religious briefs were in the civilization. Their musical instruments are a little bit different than ours and their festivals and where they play are really different.

At first, music in Mesopotamia was a big hit because the Babylonians made the Mesopotamian music. Their Instruments were made out of wood. According to mrdonns.com, one of the reasons why they made their instruments from wood was so that it was easier for them to play the instruments. It was hard for the Babylonians to make these instruments but at the end, they enjoyed the Instruments. The Babylonians made all of their instruments out of wood. The Instruments they made were flutes, harps, reed pipes, small drums and, lyres. According to Ancient Civilization (volume 8) it said that in festivals, all these Instruments were played in the festival. Everyday, they went up to the mountains to get wood to build more and more Instruments. The Babylonians get their supplies from the mountains in the north. The reason they got their wood from the mountains was there is a lot of trees that they can cut down for wood. According to a Ancient World book, it said that the Babylonians would take a boat up to the mountains and when they get there, they would find a tree, cut it down and bring it back to the boat. This wood was helpful to the Babylonians in Mesopotamia.

Right after, these events took place everywhere. The events took place at marriages, festivals, banquets, ceremonies and births. According to a website that one of Mrs. Herron’s students made, it said that the people loved to hear the music at their events. Music gave everyone in Mesopotamia happiness and excitement in their hearts and body. The Babylonians would play at each type of event that’s happening. They played music for the Mesopotamians. According to ducksters.com, it said that they played music for others so they had entertainment. Entertainment was big part of the Mesopotamia so all of the people who lived in it, would be happy. The Babylonians learned to play their music by helping each other out while playing. They would each get a piece of the other music sheet and help them if they mess up. According to Ancient Civilization (volume 9) it said that the flute player would play up front while the three drummers in the background played along. This helped them play together so their music sounded good for their Gods.

At last, a summary about the religion in Mesopotamia Music is that they cared about a lot of music and people. The cared about their music more than anything, they cared about playing hymns to their gods, and they loved spreading love to their gods but the love from their gods didn’t spread. According to a website that one of Mrs. Herron’s students made, it says that all of this information was amazing miracles. All of the miracles that they wished for, didn’t come true. The Babylonians in

Mesopotamia, loved playing music for entertainment, but they loved playing music for the gods more.
